  • Abstract
Energy is the essential pillar of the national economy. Either the shortage or interruption of the energy supplement will threaten the security of our national economy, directly. With the rapid development of our national economy, China has become more and more dependent on energy. It exposes our country to the serious challenges in this area. At present, over 90% of the national imported energy supplement depends on the marine transportation. Thus, the sea lane is becoming the “blood vessels” sustaining national economy. Therefore, strategic international marine routine will be of strategic significance to China´s national energy security, especially the petroleum security. For the purpose of maintaining China´s energy security, our government should pay special attention to this issue and carry out positive and effective measurements to ensure the sea lane security.
