A study on the development of value-added service in consideration of Korea Power Market

Power value-added service means providing product or service by utilizing and processing the power related data to increase the value of power service. It is growing to Blue Ocean under the influence of IT development. Value-added service based on AMR (automated meter reading) data is being provided to consumers in varied ways. Although power rates related service is being provided variously, the other services are not developed well because of the market condition and policy. Nowadays interest and in-depth study for value-added service is increasing, because market is changing and building standard infrastructure is discussed. In this paper, we will introduce the method to choice and develop the value added-service successfully for Korea power market through analyzing the change of power market, present state of value-added service development of Korea and advanced power market, survey result.
