The paper presents strategies for transmitting MPEG-4 video by using rate matching techniques over the WCDMA air interface. We use an OPNET simulation model to analyze the channel utilization and transmission delay performance when transmitting MPEG-4 traffic over dedicated channels in the WCDMA uplink.
