  • Abstract
    Three-phase induction motor due to simple structure, reliable operation, as well as the advantages of low cost is widely used in industrial, agricultural production and the areas of daily life. However, induction motors starting directly have great impacts on the power grid and electrical equipment. There are different performance requirements in different applications, and increasing emphasis on specialization. This paper proposes a new soft starter with pump function because existing problems at the time of start-up and the new requirements of the times, its pump control function can reduce not only the starting current at the start-up process but also the water hammer and the vibration of piping system. To achieve a good start-up process, the key is to research control algorithm, and in the pump system the key of the algorithm is the measurement of torque.
