Abstract
This paper studies the preliminary constraints of the satellite orbit especially for boundary environment monitoring. The constraints include sub-satellite track repeating, coverage, lighting condition, CCD resolution, satellite lifetime and so on. On these conditions an orbit is determined for east and west China boundary environment monitoring.
