Towards Tool Support for Integrated Modeling of Private and Public Business Processes

This paper describes the concept and implementation of a tool (view process demonstrator, VPD) for developing and connecting such model types. To ensure closeness to business requirements, the processes are modeled as event-driven process chains (EPC [G. Keller et al., 1992]) which in a second step can be used as basis for transformation to Web service-based business protocols. This tool supports the manual annotation of private and view processes and corresponding concepts for automatic derivation of view processes from private processes.
