Abstract :
Concrete cracking is a key issue in the project of water transfer. In present study, with the calculation and analysis the concrete structure of aqueduct both with and without the measure of heat insulation under the weather condition of cold wave in service life, the distribution of thermal field and thermal stress field and the probable cracking area are presented. The simulation results indicate that cracking can be caused by quick cooling at the area of bottom and the end of the secondary beam as well as bottom of the outside surface of wall in the service life. By which, some measures preventing from cracking is provided.
