Abstract :
Based on the monitoring data of June 2009 from Xinxue River Constructed Wetland, Shandong, China, the research was done to reveal the variations of COD, NH3-N, TN and TP in multistage series constructed wetland system. The results showed that the constructed wetland had a fairly good purification efficiency to the polluted water of Xinxue River, and the concentration of various pollutants gradually decreased along the technological process; the removal rate of COD, NH3-N, TN, TP was respectively 55.1%, 47.2%, 83.7% and 56.3%; in the retention pond and various stage of wetland, the removal rate of various pollutants was respectively 4.2~13.8% for COD, 2.5~13.0% for NH3-N, 0.1~29.5% for TN and -25.0~25.0% for TP; because of the matrix releasing phosphorus to water, the effluent TP concentration of the fifth stage wetland is higher than the fourth stage.
