Abstract :
Wrist straps by most opinions are the single most important static control product in the electronics manufacturing environment and are used extensively to protect semiconductor devices and electronic components from electrostatic discharge. Wrist strap varieties and constructions are summarized and a comparison is made between the principal test methods (MIL-W-87893, workstations, and ESD Association standard S1.1-Wrist Straps) for measuring their performance and predicting their reliability.
