Abstract :
Summary form only given. The ground state configurations for finite two dimensional classical cluster of charged particles are investigated in the presence of elliptical confinement. Monte Carlo simulation is performed for dust particles with constant charge and in the presence of random charge fluctuation. The particles interact through a screened Coulomb potential. The eccentricity parameter plays an important role on the background configuration in particular when the variation of the dust charge is considered. We made a comparison with experimental and theoretical studies which involve single charged particles. Structural changes are observed in our case for smaller eccentricity parameter values.
