Abstract
Power combined millimeter-wave power module (MMPM) is under development for high data rate communications and high-resolution radar applications. The MMPM is comprised of V-band traveling-wave tubes (TWT) that are capable of wide-bandwidth operation with moderately high power. The TWTs are designed with various simulation codes. The circuit utilizes T-shaped BeO support rods. The computational procedures and tools used in designing the device along with the experimental progress are presented. Comparison with previously developed MMPM is described.
