Abstract :
The "e" stands for electronic and it is associated with the use of the Internet to undertake the wide range of activities. Like the Internet itself, there is no way of controlling the advent of e-learning. What we can hope to do is begin to understand the complexities of the new environment and how we teachers can work effectively as e-teachers. Though there is a large shoe to fill, one thing is definite. That is the conventional roles of teachers are no longer appropriate in the new environment. The authors of this paper analyze the necessity of e-learning and its impact on teachers, and put forward some suggestions for e-teachers.
