Abstract :
Particles of raw water in Yangzi River were detected by the spectrum and were analyzed by SPSS methods. The results of mean test showed that the non-metallic elements had a significant role on the analysis of variance, and the structures of mineral and organic matter had a great influence on the composition of particles. The results of correlation analysis indicated that there was a significant negative correlation between metals and non-metallic elements with size from 0.45 to 3.00μm, whereas it was positive in particles with size ≥ 10.00μm. Cluster analysis showed that the proportion of carbon element was different in the same size of particles. The results indicated that the dissolved organic matter would react with metal ions in particles by chemical reaction such as substitution and chelation. Organic matter in the interior of particles could enter the water treatment system and affected the security of drinking water.
