Abstract :
Recently, network coding is proved to be able to increase the network throughput in both wired and wireless networks. In this paper, we focus on multiple unicast sessions problem with inter-session network coding in wireless networks. Since the wireless links are prone to error. We propose a novel rate allocation scheme, named as reliable pairwise inter-session network coding (RPINC) scheme, which is formulated as a convex optimization problem to maximize the network throughput and achieve the proportional fairness. Simulation results show that when the link reliability is considered, our proposed scheme can increase the aggregate network utility significantly.
