  • Abstract
With the rapid development of GIS technology, spatial database technology has been widely used in spatial data storage and management. The article focuses on flood prevention and to establish the technical processes of spatial database issues. First, we propose a metadata based classification method for flood prevention and spatial data, while building a metadata management system for flood prevention; Second, during practical application, based on the GIS platform,we build a flood prevention of the overall framework of the spatial database and software model, and discussed the distributed environment spatial data sharing model for flood prevention. Finally, we propose spatial database design by visual modeling, and give a reference model for flood prevention space elements. The paper will provide a scientific basis for flood prevention department.
