Abstract
GeZhouBa DaJiang Hydropower Plant is a typical run-off-river power plant. According to its features, the authors design a specific automatic generation control (AGC) program for the plant computer control system. The paper introduces two kinds of realizable control modes for the AGC, i.e. frequency control mode and power control mode. A detail description of the software design about the adjusting dead zone, spinning reserve capacity and other auxiliary control functions is also well defined. This program has run for more than four years in the Dajiang power station of GeZhouBa Hydropower Plant, its validity has been evaluated by the operational results.
