Abstract :
In this paper, we propose two numeral systems, and based on these numeral systems we devise two CODECs for two important classes of crosstalk avoidance codes, forbidden pattern codes and one lambda codes. Compared with previous CODEC designs, our CODECs have quadratic complexity with the size of the bus while achieving optimal code rates. Our CODECs have regular and simple circuitry, and can be easily pipelined to achieve high speed. These features of our CODECs make crosstalk avoidance codes a practical option in combating crosstalk delay.
