Abstract
Open system of color management based on ICC profiles offers tools for high accurate color reproduction not only in additive to additive or subtractive to subtractive type of reproduction, but also for additive to subtractive one and vice versa. In this paper, methods that evaluate accuracy of digital proofing and neutrality of BW reproductions are presented. With using CIE-Lab color difference formula, color distortion of reviewed inkjet printing system is evaluated in two ways: CMYK to CMYK and RGB to CMYK separations. The first way deals with accuracy of digital proofing and second one with neutrality of BW reproductions. Modern photo inkjet printing system give top level image quality among today´s printing techniques used in polygraph.
