Abstract :
In this paper a long life design of a wearable electronic textile for a special application is presented. Specifications of some real low power, tiny elements including sensors, microcontrollers, transceivers, and a fault tolerant special topology are used to increase reliability and decrease power consumption which will result in longer lifetime. Two conditions including normal and bodily critical conditions are considered. Total lifetime of the system in case of having just one and two processing nodes is compared. Simulation results show a considerable increase of the lifetime comparing with other studied methods as a result of prioritizing of activating elements. The total lifetime of the presented design in normal condition will be about 18 days for one processing node and more than 23 days for two processing nodes.
