  • Abstract
Using geographically weighted regression method, the relationship between the economic growth and land use is analyzed. The results show that: different land uses contribute to economic growth differently. In the eastern region, reduction of cultivated land and the increase in residential land cause GDP growth, while the effects of unused land are unclear. In the western region, the increase in cultivated land and reduction of residential land cause GDP growth, and the effects of unused land is still uncertain. Among them, the efficiency of residential land contributes the growth most, followed by cultivated land, finally, unused land. From 2000 to 2007, the importance of cultivated land decreases gradually and the role in promoting the economy is also weakened. The scale utility of residential land gradually increases.
