During the period of Beijing Olympic Games, the star-rated hotels´ occupancy rate in Daxing District was lower than expected. Hotels had thought they could take this opportunity to get profitable--the room occupancy rates would be high, but in fact this phenomenon was not happening. The realities are: low room occupancy rates, room prices are lower than their expectations, the gap between scheduled rate and the occupancy rate. This paper analyzes the reasons for these phenomena and gives the corresponding development of countermeasures.
