Abstract
This paper proposes automatic modeling of electrical drives using fuzzy logic. The fuzzy-based procedure extracts the rules that will express the dynamic behavior of the electrical drive system. When the internal structure of the electromechanical system is insufficiently understood presenting non-linear relations not modeled or, when the model is available but parameter values are difficult to obtain, fuzzy modeling makes a better representation of the system dynamics permitting a better system control. To investigate the interesting capabilities of the connection between electrical drive systems and fuzzy modeling, an experimental electromechanical system composed of a DC motor supplied from a DC-DC converter is used
