Abstract :
An improved zero-voltage transition (ZVT) PWM boost converter using an inductor feedback technique is proposed. The proposed circuit uses a low-voltage Zener diode to reduce the turn-off switching loss of the auxiliary switch and the EMI noise. Using this technique, soft-switching for the auxiliary switch is guaranteed at wide load ranges, and the resonant energy of the auxiliary circuit is fed to the load. The operation principles of the proposed converters are explained and analyzed. Based on the analysis, design guidelines are given. The experimental results of 2 kW, 100 kHz prototype system are presented
