Abstract :
This paper analyzes four recent different frequency compensation schemes for three stage amplifier. Under equal conditions it is possible to study the unity gain frequency (UGF) for each scheme without external interferences, such as technology variations or different design criteria and optimization emphasis. Recently published amplifiers and their specifications are later commented on in light of this new study. Unexpectedly, measurements from an amplifier designed in a 0.35 /spl mu/m CMOS technology, published results and theory appear to show contradictory results.
