Abstract
A family/Institute where a student is catered positively leads to an Utopian Society. Monitoring the day to day academic activities of a student in an Institute can be a challenging task in these modern times. The performance of a student can be analyzed by using statistics. Statistics plays an integral role when things are to be measured and compared with expected level of performance with the sole criteria of improving the performance. This paper attempts ways in which the academic performance of students can be improved; without the teacher (faculty) being burdened with additional responsibilities in the form of gathering data on various parameters of the student and then analyzing them. The system is an attempt of automating this task by involving all the stake holders in the form of students, parents, teachers and Institutional Heads so as to improve the social responsibilities of a student as an individual, to the society in general. This system uses ubiquitous computing with various wireless technologies so as to meet the above task. It uses a Learning Management System (LMS) [1] as a platform for implementation. This paper makes an attempt to compare the proposed system to other commercial LMS systems.
