Abstract :
Highway has become an important traffic way, large number of cars are running on highway everyday, and a convenient and fast method for highway toll is an important research aspect in intelligent transportation system (ITS). radio frequency identification (RFID) technology used in highway electronic toll collection (ETC) system is a new research field. This paper introduces the RFID antenna design of highway ETC system. Basis antenna parameters and design method are presented, and one type microstrip antenna used in highway ETC system is introduced as an example. Some notices on antenna installation are suggested at last.
