Abstract :
The ICEAA - IEEE APWC conferences have established the ICEAA - IEEE APWC Award to recognize the young scientist who has authored and orally presented the best ICEAA or IEEE APWC paper at the ICEAA - IEEE APWC 2014 joint conferences in terms of content and impact on Electromagnetics. The people eligible for this award were young scientists aged not more than thirty-six as of June 6, 2014. The ICEAA - IEEE APWC Award is administered by the ICEAA Scientific Committee. The 2014 ICEAA - IEEE APWC Award panel comprised Professors David B. Davidson, Ludger Klinkenbusch, Paul D. Smith, and Donald R. Wilton. The panel has decided to grant two equal merit awards to two young scientists. In selecting the awardees, the factors considered by the panel were originality, clarity and timeliness of the paper. The 2014 award was given to Yakir Hadad for the paper "Graphene based resonant "inclusions\´ with high Q and strong magnetic response by localized interruptions to the chemical potential of the layer" co-authored by A.R. Davoyan, N. Engheta, B.Z. Steinberg; and to Diane Titz for the paper "Antenna-array topologies for mm-wave beamforming transmitter with quadrature spatial combining" co-authored by A. Bisognin, J. Chen, F. Ferrero, R. Pilard, F. Gianesello, A. Cathelin, A. M. Niknejad, C. Luxey.
