Abstract
This paper proposes a novel control strategy for IPMSM drive system. The proposed single-phase to three-phase power converter does not require a reactor and an electrolytic capacitor at dc-link, and obtains unity input power factor. The proposed control method improves the source current waveform at any load conditions by using the feedback control. The proposed control system is constructed by using DSP. This paper also proposes the compensation method for the phase delay caused by the sampling period. The superior performances of proposed method demonstrate through the experimental results. The maximum power factor obtains 96.8[%] by the experimental result.
