Abstract :
This paper presents a simple technique that allows performances improving of low cost open-loop fiber optic gyroscopes (IFOG) dedicated to land navigation. Our IFOG has been built using 200 meters of standard silica fiber. The output signal of the IFOG is linearized by means of a digital electronic circuit and thus the scale factor and the dynamic range are improved. With this method, it is possible to measure a linear variation using low cost electronics components.
