Abstract :
To cope with the time-varying indoor reverberant environment, an adaptive time delay estimation (TDE) method based on blind identification of single input multiple output (SIMO) acoustic channels by using second-order statistics, which is called NLMS-CR algorithm, is studied in this paper. The simulation results show that the proposed method outperform its traditional counterparts such as cross-correlation (CC) and phase transform (PHAT) at different signal to noise ratios (SNRs) under severe multipath conditions. In addition, the impact of the filter order on the TDE accuracy rate of the NLMS-CR algorithm is also investigated by simulation.
