Abstract
The design of a dual-polarized quad ridge horn aperture for a millimeter wave constant effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) front-end is presented. Based upon the varying output power from a broadband amplifier, constant EIRP at boresight is designed for by changing the length, flare angle and ridge flare rate of the horn. By proper choice of these parameters, a boresight EIRP of 68.7 dBm ± 0.45 dB over an 18 - 40 GHz band can be achieved.
