  • Abstract
Practice teaching is a key part in training engineering talents. Guided by the learning theory of constructivism, project teaching method creates scenarios by choosing a project, conducts study through cooperative learning, and achieves construction of meaning by finishing a well-designed project. In the teaching of computer science with its emphasis in practice, the method shows unique advantages. Different from traditional teaching methods, it helps students acquire knowledge through hands-on work, and develops their capability to solve real problems. Through the implementation of projects, the method also cultivates self-study ability, creative spirit and cooperative conscience. By analyzing the problems in teaching of computer science, this paper raises the principles and the strategies of the method based on collaborative learning in groups. It also describes the implementation process and details of the method in software testing course.
