Abstract :
In this paper, we study the propagation of electromagnetic waves in forest media in UHF and VHF frequency bands. We propose a full wave coherent method that allows computing the electric field everywhere in the medium and for any kind of transmitting antenna. Using the data given by the model, we develop two methods in order to detect and localize a metallic target in the medium. The first one is based a monostatic SAR imaging algorithm, the second one is based on a DORT method associated with MUSIC algorithm
