Abstract
This paper studies simple switched dynamical systems based on simplified models of single/parallel DC-DC converters in current mode control. The systems are characterized by several switching rules depending on both periodic clock and state variables. The systems have piecewise constant vector field and piecewise linear solutions: they are well suited for precise analysis. We can clarify parameters conditions for stability of desired operations and for generation of chaotic behavior. These results can contribute not only as basic information to design efficient DC-DC converters but also as a trigger to develop novel bifurcation theory.
