Abstract :
Ray path parameters of line of sight radio links have been extracted from data such as variation of received field with height, frequency or time. Holographic techniques with the Fourier transform were also used. In this contribution, the effect of noise in the recorded data is investigated. The wavelet technique is employed for denoising the recorded data before processing. Such processing of data will reduce the limit on the signal to noise ratio S/N needed for the recorded data. Computer simulations showed that noisy data with S/N as low as 0 dB can be preprocessed by the wavelet technique to give satisfactory estimation of ray path parameters
