Abstract :
The possibility of successful single-pole auto-re-closure (SPAR) is largely determined by the probability of secondary arc extinction, and magnitude of secondary arc current is one of the most important factors, which determine whether or not the secondary arc will be self-extinguishing. The equivalent impedance by use of the Thevenin theorem, at fault point of transmission lines using SPAR and the effects of grounding resistance on secondary arc current are analyzed in this paper.
