Abstract :
The RS and GIS research new technologies which suitable for large-scale regions research and the landscape index analysis method were used to study the overall land use pattern characteristics and dynamics trends of Xinzheng city from 1995 to 2000 by analyzing the remote sensing image maps. Results show that: the building lands increases unceasingly, forest land, meadow and waters area gradually reduced; heterogeneity and diversity index of Land use type decreased; Landscape fragmentation index increased, and evenness reduction. Suggested that strengthens the land pattern plan and improve the land utilization way, develops the natural resource reasonably, walks the sustainable development path.
