  • Abstract
The adsorption behavior of modified polyamide resin for resorcinol was studied with the static method .The static adsorption test results showed that the optimum medium was pH = 6, temperature was 25°C, and the oscillation time was 60 minutes. The adsorbed quantity was at 8.715mg/g,the rate of adsorption was 85% and the removal rate was the best. Adsorption isotherm was well in line with the Freundich isotherm equation and absorption behavior was exothermic physical adsorption process. The resorcinol adsorbed on the modified polyamide resin can be eluted with the solution of sodium hydroxide and the resorcinol recovery reached 90%. Because the common organic substance didn´t affect the adsorption behavior of polyamide resin for resorcinol significantly, the polyamide could be used to concentrate and separate the resorcinol in waste water which contained a lot of organic substance.
