Abstract :
This paper presents a matched filter acquisition scheme for a direct-sequence multi-carrier CDMA system using a small number of orthogonal overlapping carriers. The parallel structure of the multi-carrier system offers interesting possibilities to improve the acquisition time. The acquisition performance is discussed in a multipath fading channel and is compared to that of a single-carrier parallel acquisition scheme as well as a single-carrier serial acquisition scheme. A significant improvement of performance is shown
