Abstract :
A high-density, complex MMIC (monolithic microwave integrated circuit) transmit/receive (T/R) module is presented with applications for 6-18-GHz multifunction phased arrays. It features a dual-polarization, high-dynamic-range architecture, a state-of-the-art family of MMIC chips (269 mm/sup 2/ total GaAs area), and advanced MMIC packaging techniques. The incorporation of four T/R modules in a broadband subarray is described.<>
