The development and application practice of solar energy in the desert regions of China

China has great desert regions and lots of solar energy resources, which provide a large market for solar energy development. These desert regions are minority centralizing zones and economically backward, whose environmental conditions are fragile. This paper analyzes the development and application practice of solar energy in the desert regions of China from four aspects, which includes the desert region introduction, Chinese solar development situation, the solar applications and prospects of Chinese desert region. Hopefully it will provide government and enterprises with the reference of the development of solar energy in the desert of China.
