Abstract :
ldquoOn-demand softwarerdquo describes the software that is delivered over the network as a service, for a charge. It is becoming a pervasive software model that gives product companies an opportunity to offer their software as a service over the Internet instead of bundling it as an product which is installed individually for each client. On-demand software exposes the product vendorpsilas to unique technical challenges in conforming to the performance and scalability requirement. The paper tries to identify some of the key performance and scalability issues that vendors may face as they shift to an dasiaon-demandpsila model.
