Abstract
This article describes the distributed system developed for achieve the distance measurement of levels taked by limnimetric stations, in the region of Laguna Mar Chiquita and the Bañados del Río Dulce. This, is the inhospitable region, there isn´t electric energy, has deficient communications and has adverse weather inclements, too. The system is divided in two parts: Remote System, compound by a cell and the station; and Local system, compound by applications Client and Server. The Server Application has a Management System Database and redirects notifications of extreme events, that are provides by remote system. The Client Application allows management the information stored. Finally, the station measured superficial water levels. This was implemented through a cell, allowing data acquisition and manipulation. This data is retransmitted to the Server application, by GSM/GPRS.
