Abstract
In this paper different acquisition methods were presented. Evaluation of a serial and parallel-search DS-SS, single and double dwell time acquisition system is given with and without incorporating an intentional jamming. The mean acquisition time is considered to be the performance measure of the receiver using a certain PN codes as spreading codes. The effects of probability of detection (PD), probability of false alarm (PFA) and the threshold level (Vm) on the mean acquisition time also included
