Abstract :
With the rapid development of economy and society, timely access to effective information is becoming more and more significant. Intelligence and efficiency are the salient features of Smart City. Meanwhile, NASA World Wind, launched by National Aeronautics And Space Administration (NASA), an open source geographic software, is suitable as a development platform for Smart City. In this paper, we mainly introduce the applications of World Wind in the Internet of things and virtual reality, and demonstrate how to use World Wind to partially reconstruct a 3D virtual city and achieve the real-time weather information.
