Abstract
A simple algorithm for approximating the transfer function corresponding to an analog circuit or system is presented. The method analyzes the data embedded in previously computed Bode diagrams, looking for the salient properties displayed by these. An iterative routine tries to remove continuously the presumed component factors corresponding to the 4 elementary transfer functions until a convenient approximation of the unknown transfer function is obtained. Further the Bode diagrams of the analyzed circuit or system are compared with those given by the presumed transfer function and the errors can be eventually minimized using a numerical optimization routine. The method is based on an expert system knowledge and do not need laborious mathematical techniques.
