Abstract :
An introduction to systems engineering and ongoing work in research are presented in this paper. The systems engineering discipline is an emerging discipline in academia and large scale industry. Systems engineering considers both the business and the technical needs of all customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the user needs. The paper focuses on the concepts underlying such disciplines and strengthens the processes issue for engineering systems. The paper surveys the ongoing work and research and shows the importance of systems view in systems development independently of systems nature: information systems, physical product, mechanical or electrical, organisational issues and relating to project and quality management. A great deal is given to build systems engineering framework for application
