Abstract :
The research of the measuring methods for electromagnetic pulse has important significance. The principle and the scheme of the optical sensor based on magneto-optic crystal are introduced. The effect of the linear birefringence and incident polarizing angle on the output performance of the sensor are derived using Jones matrix. The research of the optimal incident polarizing angle is made. The results show that when the incident polarizing angle is set to some special values the sensitivity of the system to the linear birefringence will be minimized and the system performance can be optimized.
