  • Abstract
    In this paper, genetic algorithm (GA) is used for getting the unknown electromagnetic parameters of multi-layer absorber structure. For this aim, a finite element method (FEM) model was brought forward and a test system based on free-space method was founded. From comparing reflection coefficients came from calculated and measured, electromagnetic parameters of unknown layer can be gotten efficiently. For improving precision, normal distributed random variable is used in genetic algorithm. Compared with transmission/reflection method, this result can be proved rightly and efficiently. This method can be used for both high and low materials.
