Abstract :
Recently, the gate-controlled diode come out from the test devices class and became a useful circuit device. The breakdown mode of the gate-controlled diode has a complex transfer characteristic which is not included in the available SPICE libraries. Therefore, for the design of the circuits which include this novel device, it must be emulated in SPICE. Based on this emulator, two elementary circuits have been simulated. The simulation results are in good agreement with the theoretical predictions of the above circuits.
